Covely: Giving You The Space You Need
Covely is a digital platform designed to extend the care funeral directors provide, helping them maintain meaningful connections with the families they serve while offering those families a calm, private space to navigate grief at their own pace.
The client discovered that funeral directors often don’t have the time to provide the aftercare grieving families need. To help address this, they developed an app offering positive reflection tools, wellbeing support, and a direct connection to funeral directors.
The challenge was building trust.
In a technology landscape crowded with faceless businesses and an over reliance on AI, the app needed to feel human, supportive and reassuring from the very first interaction.
A professional-looking app alone wasn’t enough to earn that trust. I proposed creating a brand around the product that felt warm, compassionate, and approachable, without being patronising.
This became Covely: an app designed to give people the space they need. Once the brand was established, I redesigned the app experience to be intuitive, calming, and easy to navigate, ensuring the product felt as supportive as the service it provides.
